Pat Josse and Thomas Dulin collaborated to write, perform, and record the original soundtrack for Maypilama: Keel Line of Creation. Inspired by the film’s themes of connection, Country, and shared story, the soundtrack became a natural extension of the documentary itself.
For $20, you can purchase the soundtrack and support the important work of the Djäkamirr Co-op, with all profits going directly back into community-led initiatives. It is a meaningful way to experience the film beyond the screen while contributing directly to the future the documentary stands for.
Their collaboration also reflects an important theme within the film, the Yolŋu understanding that relationships are built through connection, reciprocity, and shared purpose. Pat and Thomas first connected in 2021 after both reached the final of an online music competition. What began as a simple exchange soon grew into an ongoing creative partnership grounded in mutual respect and storytelling through music.
Maypilama: Keel Line of Creation marks their first soundtrack collaboration. Thomas lives in Paris, France, while Pat is based on the Gold Coast, Australia. Despite working closely together over several years, they have never met in person, creating the music for the film remotely across continents.
